How to Get Squirtle in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu

Published Date :

Squirtle is a valuable Pokémon to have in Let’s Go, Pikachu! for several reasons. As a Water-type Pokémon, Squirtle is strong against Fire-type Pokémon, which are relatively common in the game. Squirtle evolves into Blastoise, a powerful Water-type Pokémon with strong attacks who is particularly useful in late-game battles. Catching Squirtle is essential for completing your Pokédex, which is a goal for many players and here are two ways to obtain this Pokemon.

To catch Squirtle, you have to make your way to Cerulean City, because your goal is to go to the north of this location. Look for Route 24 which crosses the waterway via the famous Nugget Bridge.
Once you cross the bridge, turn left.

Here, when you see a Squirtle appear after chain-catching Venonat or Psyduck, start throwing a Pokeball. This may take multiple attempts, so make sure you have enough resources.

There is another way to catch Squirtle in Let’s Go Pikachu and that’s by reaching Cerulean City during the main story. Talk to a guard near a house with an orange roof, and when you come back, you will see her chasing a Squirtle.

The actual opportunity to get a Squirtle will be in Vermilion City where you should see the guard alongside a Squirtle. Talk to her and she will tell you that this mischievous Squirtle needs a good Trainer to set it straight. If you’ve already caught 60 unique Pokemon, you could be the right trainer and so she will ask you to take care of this Pokemon.
