With a plethora of weapons available to players, there’s something about Saga’s Shotgun that has caught everyone’s attention in Alan Wake 2. Luckily, the Shotgun is made available during the second chapter in story progression. Once you have had sufficient clues, you need to head back to the General Store where you will find the Shotgun in one of the hidden rooms that can be unlocked using a code.
Having said that, you will need to find enough clues and at least progress through Chapter 2 if you want to unlock the Shotgun. The Shotgun is located in the Cauldron Lake area around where you start the game. While visiting in the first chapter, you will find a locked door that can only be unlocked after you have been to the Witch’s Hut in Chapter 2. The room will be dark so make sure you have your Flashlight in hand.
How to Get Saga’s Shotgun in Alan Wake 2 from General Store
Players can get Saga’s Shotgun from the abandoned General Store in the Cauldron Lake area in Alan Wake 2. Although you will go there early on in the story, you cannot get access to the gun before Chapter 2. In order to actually get the Shotgun, you will first have to find the Manuscript Page at the Witch’s Hut.
Once you do that, head inside the store and walk towards the back wall and you will find an axe wielding enemy. Now that you have defeated the enemy, head inside the now unlocked room and you will find the shotgun hanging in a cabinet locked with a combination. The combination is nearby and all you have to do is head to the front desk near the cash register.
General Store Shotgun Case Combination Solution in Alan Wake 2
Read the note next to the Shotgun Case and then head over to the cash register on the front desk. There is a notepad where several earlier combinations have been scratched out. If you notice, each combination is derived from the Lotto Washington lottery ticket numbers.
705, 713, 717, and 723 are the previous combinations that have been scratched out and the lotto ticket indicates numbers 05 13 17 23 39 45. So adding 7 to the next number, the General Store cabinet for the Shotgun in Alan Wake 2 can be opened with the code 739.
How to Get Shotgun as Alan in Alan Wake 2
Although Alan has a completely different inventory, finding the Shotgun will be quite easy. Once you complete enough storyline missions with Alan, you will come across the Room 665 mission where you will be trying to enter Oceanview Hotel.
However, before you reach the entrance, you will be able to notice a rooftop bar on the right. While the Shotgun is inside the bartender’s area in the bar, it will be locked at first. The solution is hardly missable and once you get there, it will be easy to unlock since no puzzles are actually involved for this one.
