Hades 2 Seeds: How To Get Them And Grow Plants

Knowing how to get seeds in Hades 2 can be useful in more ways than it appears. Seeds can be used for farming as they grow into different plants like Nightshade, Cattail, Wheat, and more. These can then be used for various incantations. The only problem is you don’t find seeds lying around on the ground waiting for you to pick them up. But finding them is actually quite easy.

How to Get Seeds in Hades 2

You need the Silver Spade to dig out seeds from Digging Spots. They show up randomly in rooms during your runs. The catch is the spade that is needed isn’t available from the start and you have to craft it before being able to use it.

1. Go to the weapon room in the Crossroads.
2. Interact with the Nocturnal Arms, and then change the tab to Gathering tools.
3. Here, you can craft Silver Spade. For it you will need:
   • Silver x10
4. After you unlock it, Switch your current tool with it. Considering you can do this in the early game there is a high chance you must have Crescent Pick equipped.
   • Do note, that after you switch them, while you may be able to dig seeds, you won’t be able to mine Silver, Limestone, Bronze, or other similar resources.
5. During your runs make sure to keep an eye out for protruding mud from the ground. These are the digging spots. Walk up to them and press R1 or RB to dig seeds. In case you miss such resources frequently, you can concoct the Reagant Sensing incantation in the cauldron at the Crossroads.

How to Plant Seeds in Hades 2 and Farm

To start farming you have to concoct the Flourishing Soul incantation. After a few runs it should be available in your cauldron. Interact with it and spend Moly x1 to unlock two soil spots which you can use to plant the seeds that you gather. These spots can be found near where Odysseus stands.

1. Walk up to the Soil Spot and press R1 or RB.
2. This will bring up your seeds in a menu.
3. Select and use the ones that you want to grow.

After the given encounters your plants will be ready.

Seeds List

• Nightshade Seeds: It takes 5 encounters to grow into Nightshade.
• Garlic Seeds: It takes 8 encounters to grow into Garlic.
• Cattail Seeds: It takes 9 encounters to grow into Cattail.
• Mystery Seeds: It takes 11 encounters to randomly grow into Moly, Myrtle, Deathcap, Garlic, or Nightshade.
• Wheat Seeds: It takes 13 encounters to grow into Wheat.
