How to Get the Riptide Rod in Fisch

Published Date :

The Riptide Rod is a mid-game fishing rod in the Roblox game Fisch. It’s a craftable rod that requires players to reach level 200 and this high-level requirement has made fishers curious about it, especially because of its special High Tide passive.

Here’s how it works — After 5 consecutive perfect catches, the High Tide bar will fill up and it gives you 3 casts with 30% increased Luck and 25% increased Lure Speed. So, if you think you have the skill to keep getting perfect casts back to back, this rod is for you.

How to Craft the Riptide Rod in Fisch

To craft the Riptide Rod, players need to gather the following materials:

  • 40,000 Cash
  • 3x Ruby
  • 3x Atlantean Driftwood
  • 1x Magic Thread

Players can find Ruby from the Meteor that crash lands on Ancient Isle. You will be notified of it via a notification on the server, or you can trigger it with a Meteor totem.

Magic Thread should be easily obtained by fishing anywhere on the map, but if you don’t have one yet, you can also head to Treasure Chests accessible via Treasure maps. They have a chance to grant Magic Thread as well.

Lastly, the Atlantean Driftwood is the toughest part of this crafting recipe. You can obtain this mutated version by fishing with the Trident Rod or by appraising the normal Driftwood at the appraiser and hoping you get Atlantean. This will cost a lot of money because it is based on luck, however, fishing it out of the water is the best-case scenario. The best place to get normal Driftwood is in the cave at Sunstone Stone.

Riptide Rod Stats

Here are the base stats of the Riptide Rod:

  • Lure Speed: 20%
  • Luck: 25%
  • Control: 0.05
  • Resilience: 5%
  • Max Kg: 3,500kg

Best Enchantment for the Riptide Rod

You can enhance this further by getting the Resilient enchantment, or boost control with Controlled. Since the max kg isn’t too great, you can also go for Unbreakable or Herculean. Lastly, Hasty/Swift can help with Lure speed, and Abyssal or Sea King will be the best to earn more money from fishing.

The crafting process itself takes place in the Ancient Archives, a location within the Ancient Isles. Make sure you have gained access to the Crafting Station beforehand. Check out our linked guide that explains the process if you haven’t done so already.

Is the Riptide Rod Good and Worth it?

At the moment, the Riptide rod isn’t worth the investment because the Atlantean Driftwood can be very, very tough or expensive to obtain. Its base stats are not good enough for the effort put into crafting it, and it needs an overall buff including the passive.
