Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite a large game both in terms of exploration and its story. As such you can easily miss out on several items that are placed throughout the world. Additionally, even if you do end up collecting them you can miss out on using them as there is a lot to do. Resonance Stone in BG3 is one such thing.
The resonance stone is pink in color and weirdly has 4 legs. But just because it looks cool doesn’t mean you should take it in battle. So here is the location where you could find it and its use.
How to Get Resonance Stone in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can find the Resonance Stone at the Mind Flayer Colony. This becomes available in Act 2, and while this isn’t the only place where you can get it. Mind Flayer colony is still a better option than randomly stumbling upon it. There are two ways to get it:
- Killing Mind Flayers: This comes down to your luck as the Resonance stone sadly isn’t a guaranteed drop. So you may or may not get it after killing just one of them. But the more mind flayers you kill the better chance you have at obtaining it.
- Searching the entire colony: Make sure you check every nook and cranny of the Mind Flayer Colony and don’t skip out on any of the puzzle rooms. Here too, you have a chance of getting it as a random pickup.
How to Use the Resonance Stone
You can use the Resonance Stone by having it on you to get the Steeped in Bliss condition. However, the catch is, that this stone affects everyone within a 9-foot radius. This means friends and foes alike are affected by this status effect. Steeped in Bliss is good for passing physical checks. However, you will be at a disadvantage during saving throws.
Also, while you are carrying the stone you will also be weak to Psychic damage. So make sure you drop it or move it to a chest before you pick fights with enemies like Zevlor or Kethric.
