Getting Ranked in a competitive game like Counter Strike 2 gives the players bragging rights. But this time, there are 2 Ranked Modes in which you can play and advance. Apart from the normal Competitive Matches, there is now a new Premier Match option. However, the steps to achieve ranks in both of these Match types are different. And that’s why we are here to help you through this. Scroll down below to learn how to get Ranked in CS2’s Competitive and Premier Mode.
How to Get Ranked in CS2 Premier Mode
Firstly, know that the Premier Mode requires you to have Prime Status. Only then you’ll be able to access this mode and rank up. Your first step should be to unlock it by playing other modes (Casual or Deathmatch). Unlike in regular Ranked Matches with Competitive Ranks, there is a new CS Rating. You will get your CS Rating after completing 10 placement matches in the Premier Mode of CS2. This rating is determined based on your performance in those 10 placement matches and is displayed on a server-based leaderboard.
Each player starts with a 0 Rating and goes all the way to 35,000 (highest-rated player). After every 5000 points, your Rating display will change color. Refer below to know those colors:
- Grey: 0-4999
- Light Blue: 5000-9999
- Blue: 10,000-14,999
- Purple: 15,000-19,999
- Pink: 20,000-24,999
- Red: 25,000-29,999
- Yellow (Gold): 30,000 and above
Just like Competitive Ranks, you will lose CS Rating if you lose or perform very poorly in Premier Mode.
How to Get Ranked in CS2 Competitive Mode
For the Competitive Mode, you don’t need to have a Prime Status. You can unlock this mode by simply playing other modes. Similar to CSGO, you will get Ranked in Competitive Mode after completing 10 placement matches in CS2. Based on your performance, you will be given one of the following Ranks in CS2’s Competitive Mode:
- Silver I
- Silver II
- Silver III
- Silver IV
- Silver Elite
- Silver Elite Master
- Gold Nova I
- Gold Nova II
- Gold Nova III
- Gold Nova Master
- Master Guardian I
- Master Guardian II
- Master Guardian Elite
- Distinguished Master Guardian
- Legendary Eagle
- Legendary Eagle Master
- Supreme Master First Class
- The Global Elite
You need to win as many matches as possible to gain XP and increase your rank in CS2. The more matches you lose, the more your rating or ranking will be reduced.
