Diablo 4 has had a major overhaul with the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion as well as Season 6 ‘Season of Hatred Rising’ and one of the elements that have been tweaked a bit is The Artificer’s Stone. It was previously called a Runeshard but has been changed, possibly to avoid confusion with Runewords. If you’ve played since Season 4, you know that Runeshards were a key material required to enter The Pit, a challenging endgame dungeon. Here’s what you need to know about Artificer’s Stones.
How to Get Artificer’s Stones in Diablo 4
Since they are a currency required to access The Pit, you will constantly require them during the endgame. Here are the best and most efficient ways to obtain Artificer’s Stones in D4:
- Whispers Caches
- Helltide events
- Nightmare Dungeons
- Legion Events
- World Bosses
First, complete the Tree of Whispers bounties because when you go to collect the rewards, you may get many Artificer’s Stones from one cache.
Other than this, we highly recommend farming Helltides including the Blood Maiden event marked by the icon of a horned head on the map. This is also an efficient way to get this currency.
The next thing to grind would be Nightmare Dungeons. Go for high-tier dungeons and complete them for a chance to get these resources as drops.
And lastly, rewards from Legion events and World Bosses also have a chance of granting Artificer’s Stones in Diablo 4.
Once you have enough, visit Cerrigar in Scosglen and interact with the pillar to open up the portal. Provide these stones, select the tier of The Pit you wish to access and get ready to slay demons and hellish creatures (within the time limit)! Upon successful completion, you will get the currency required for Masterworking your equipment, making your build more powerful than before.
