How To Get A Megaphone In Terraria

Updated Date :

Terraria has been around for almost 10 years now but it still manages to keep its players entertained. Players enjoy the grind of collecting resources to build deadly armor and weaponry. Some of these items are far less common than the others. Take for example, the Megaphone. However, it is a very important accessory in the game. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get a Megaphone in Terraria.

How To Find Megaphone in Terraria

If you don’t already know, Megaphone is an extremely rare accessory. It is an item that is dropped after defeating enemies. But not any one for that matter, here are the enemies you need to beat to get Megaphone:

  • Pixies
  • Green Jelly Fish
  • Dark Mummies
  • Blood Mummies

But keep in mind that you won’t be guaranteed to get a Megaphone in Terraria by beating any of the above enemies. The odds of finding a dropped Megaphone is a 1/100 (1%) chance. You can slightly increase your odds while playing the game on Expert mode. The spawn rate will increase to 1/50 (2%) chance. When equipped with a Megaphone, you have immunity towards the Silenced debuffs.

What is Megaphone Used For?

As mentioned earlier, Megaphone is one of the ingredients required to make the Countercurse Mantra. This item can help grant immunity to both Silenced and the Cursed debuffs. This is the crafting recipe for it:

  • Megaphone
  • Nazar
  • Tinkerer’s Workshop

The Countercurse Mantra can eventually help you craft the Ankh Charm. This accessory can provide immunity to several debuffs in Terraria. Finally, the Ankh Charm can be used to make the Ankh Shield. It can provide immunity to 12 different debuffs, knockback immunity, and an additional 4 defense to you. Well, that’s why finding a Megaphone is so important. It sets the ball rolling for the most overpowered shield accessory in the game.
