Mana is the resource indicated via the blue bar at the bottom left corner of the screen that helps your character use their magic. When you cast spells or use magical abilities, you consume mana, and knowing how to get Mana back in Black Myth: Wukong is important because you don’t want to run out during combat. Here’s how you can refill the bar in the game.
How to Recover Mana in Black Myth: Wukong
There is no Mana potion that will help you regenerate it easily; however, there are some ways to get Mana back once you spend it.
You can equip the rare item called Galeguard Greaves which has a unique effect. Performing 3 consecutive Perfect Dodges within a brief moment will recover a moderate amount of Mana. Doing this is challenging, but if you can pull it off, it’s a good way to restore the resource during a boss battle. Perfect Dodges happen when you leave behind a shadow of yourself, and when you do this twice and dodge again, you will see the blue bar fill up a bit. You can see it in action in this video:
If you’re out of combat, you can head to a Shrine and click on the option to Rest. This will help replenish the bar and you should be ready to use your magical spells.
Apart from this, there are items that can help you get Mana back. There’s a Celestial Taiyi Pill (Celestial Medicine) which is a miraculous pill that increases Maximum Mana.
You can also go for the Turtle Tear Epic Soak which provides a Mana-related bonus. When you use the Gourd at full health, it will recover a moderate amount, coming in handy during dire moments. You can obtain the Turtle Tear from the North Shore of the Bitter Lake shrine.
Beat the Apramana Bat boss, and then interact with the huge skeleton nearby and you should get the Turtle Tear after the cutscene.
There are some more ways to regenerate Mana and that is through the Spirit Shards skill (Immobilize Skill Tree) which recovers a moderate amount of Mana upon crashing the immobilization on the enemy. Bold Venture is another skill from the Rock Solid Skill tree, which recovers a considerable amount of Mana upon a successful Deflection.
The Fuming Ears Relic increases the amount of damage dealt when you perform perfect dodges, and it has certain bonuses. One of the bonuses is Sound as a Bell which narrows the window of Rock Solid Deflection, but returns half of the Mana cost of the Spell upon a deflection.
Life Saving Strand is a spell that can be upgraded by spending Spark. So, if you choose the upgrade called Spirited Return, it will instantly recover a moderate amount of Mana after using Life-Saving Strand.
