LEGO Fortnite Iron Farming Guide

Updated Date :

Iron in LEGO Fortnite is an essential resource, players will have to get their hands on it to craft epic weapons and equipment. However, the metal is equally harder to find and is specific to the Frost biome in the game. While the iron ore in itself is not much of a use, smelting it into Iron Bars will help you much more while crafting and building your village.

Although, along with the right equipment to mine the iron ore, players will also need to know where exactly they can find the Iron in LEGO Fortnite. Not to mention, there are quite a few Frost mobs like rollers that you will have to deal with. This makes having the right weapon even more important in the game. So if you are looking to craft epic weapons and equipment like epic shovels, Longsword, etc, then here is a guide you should check out further.

As mentioned before, you will need to travel to a Frost biome to get your hands on Iron in LEGO Fortnite. The rare resource is usually found inside lava caves located in the frost biome. To find a frost biome, players will need to climb atop a mountain or a hill. Lava caves are much easier to spot as their entrance is marked by huge piles of boulders in the game.

Before entering the lava cave in the Frost Biome, you will have to craft an Epic Pickaxe to mine iron ore and a torch to navigate inside. We would also suggest that you have Snow Berries and spicy Peppers at your disposal to survive the extreme heat and cold conditions of the biome and cave. Once you teleport inside the cave, you will come across Iron in LEGO Fortnite as metallic gray and orange ores in the game.

However, you will find most of them to be even higher on the walls than other resources. We would recommend that you also have some wood in your inventory to craft stairs if the need arises. Once you come across the metal, simply start hitting it with your Epic Pickaxe and collect it.

While mobs like Rollers are annoying but easy to deal with, you will also come across Bone Wolves inside these caves in the Frost Biome. You will have to make sure that you have a good weapon at your disposal. However, we would suggest that you completely avoid them as they deal extensive damage in the game.

To craft Iron Bars, you will need a Metal Smelter in LEGO Fortnite. Metal Smelter requires x15 Brightcore, x35 Obsidian Slab & x3 Blast Core which players can get easily from the lava caves.

Once you build the Metal Smelter, simply interact with it and choose the Iron Bars recipe in the game. Along with iron ore, you will also need some Brightcore to craft Iron Bars in the game:

  • x1 Iron
  • X2 Brightcore
