It is very important to have a steady supply of Crops in Manor Lords if you want your populace to achieve satiety. But for a new player, figuring out anything is like filling blank spaces until they finally know what to do. So in this guide, we will explain how you can get Crops to meet the expectations of the growing population.
It’s crystal clear that growing up Crops like Emmer and Rye are needed to make Grain and eventually, Bread. However, other crops like Barley and Flax are equally important too. They are needed for making Clothes and Ale respectively. But before you get to that, you must get the crops ready.
How to Get All Crops in Manor Lords
The quickest way to get a good quantity of Crops in Manor Lords is by farming them yourself. For that, you will need a Field and a Farmhouse. While obtaining a Field costs nothing, you will have to spend 3x Timber to build a Farmhouse. Anyway, to find a perfect field for your desired crop, you should know if the land is fertile for it.
Once you press the Construction button, an Overlay section will appear on the right side. There, you can find all types of crops. Clicking on any one of them will highlight the portion of land that is most fertile for growing a particular crop. If the highlighted land is Red then you shouldn’t grow your crop there. However, a Yellow or Green (best) are the areas where you can think of farming something.
Now that you have your field selected, you can select the type of crop you want to grow on it. For example, if you want Emmer then select it from the dropdown menu. One more thing, it’s always recommended to make the Farmhouse close to the farm. That’s because you will be assigning people to the Farmhouse so they can take care of the Farm. Distance between the Farm and Farmhouse matters because of the traveling time. You probably don’t want the Farmers to travel from two different corners of the settlement, right?
Depending on the harvesting time, you will get your crop in Manor Lords. And once you do, you will have to make proper use of it. For instance, Emmer and Rye can be sent to Farmhouse to convert them into Grain. Later, you can send the Grain to the Windmill and obtain Flour from it. Similarly, Flax can be used at a Weaver’s Workshop to get Linen. And then, you can use the Linen to make clothes at a Tailor’s Workshop Extension.
That’s how you obtain Crops and make proper use of them. If you are curious to learn more about the game in detail, feel free to navigate through our dedicated section for Manor Lords Guides on Gamer Tweak.
