There is a new form of Ursaluna known as Bloodmoon Beast Ursaluna that you can catch in the Teal Mask DLC of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. This evolution of Ursaring was first introduced in Pokemon Legends Arceus. It has a total base stats of 555 and excellent Sp. ATK and DEF. As this Pokemon is so amazing, you can’t just walk into the Kitakami region and stumble across it in some random woods. So here are all the requirements that you need to fulfill to get the Blood moon Ursaluna in Pokemon SV.
How to Get Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Teal Mask DLC
In order to encounter Blood Moon Ursaluna you first need to catch 150 Pokemon of the Kitakami region and fill up its Pokedex. Once you are done with that you have to take Perrin’s photography project quest. At the end of the quest, you can encounter it. Here is everything you need to do:
- Start by completing the Kitakami Pokedex by collecting 150 Pokemon. To do that you can:
- Catch each of the 150 Pokemon that you can.
- Evolve the ones that you can’t catch.
- Trade the ones that you can’t find or evolve with other players.
- Go to Mossui Town.
- Take the western road to head out of the town and you can find Perrin on the way.
- Talk to her and she will tell you about her photography project.
- Choose to help her.
- A battle between you two will now start. Here are the Pokemon that she will use:
- Noctowl (Normal/Flying Pokemon)
- Weak against: Electric, Rock, and Ice.
- Leafeon (Grass Pokemon)
- Weak against: Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, and Bug.
- Noctowl (Normal/Flying Pokemon)
- After you beat her she will explain about her search for the Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
- Now, go and find Perrin at Timeless Woods.
- After more conversations, Perrin will ask you to get photos of 10 different Pokemon.
- These aren’t any random pictures, you have to take them in the Timeless Woods during foggy nights.
- Any 10 Pokemon work as long as they are visible in the frame and are not the same. Try not to get too close to them else they may either run away or start a battle.
- After taking the 10 pictures go back and talk to Perrin.
- She will now tell you the location of the Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Before you actually go to fight the Blood moon beast make sure to visit the Poke Center to heal your Pokemon and stock up on any items that you feel might be useful in battle.
- Go back and talk to Perrin about being ready to meet Bloodmoon Ursaluna to get to it.
- Bloodmoon Ursaluna is a dual-type Ground/Normal Pokemon. It is weak against:
- Grass, Water, Ice, and Fighting.
- Finally, fight the beast and catch it.
Does Bloodmoon Ursaluna have a Shiny?
No, it does not have a shiny form. So if you are trying to reset it for shiny hunting, that won’t be of any use and you should catch it already.
Can You Evolve Ursaring to get Blood Moon Ursaluna?
No, the Bloodmoon Beast Ursaluna is only available through this quest and cannot be evolved. So catching and trying to evolve an Ursaring won’t be of any help.
With that, you should now be able to catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask easily. Since you are interested in this game be sure to check out our Pokemon SV section for more.
