Just like in real life, your Sims too will grow up to become adults. The best way to do this is by throwing your Sim a birthday party. While a Sims 4 birthday party has many requirements the most important is of course the birthday cake. Here’s a quick guide on how to get it.
How to get a Birthday Cake in Sims 4
Unlike previous games, you can only get a birthday cake by baking it on your own. This can be done by selecting the recipe from the Cook menu in the Kitchen. You can bake the white or chocolate cake in the base game. A Hamburger Cake is unlocked if the Up All Night pack is installed. If your Sim has a high cooking skill level, you can also use the Blue Confetti and Strawberry Cakes as a birthday cake.
Use your phone to open up events and select the Birthday Party option. After you’re done selecting the guest, you’ll get the option to hire a caterer for the party. The caterer will bake a birthday cake for you and the guest but note that the cake will take some time to prepare and might not be ready in time for the party. We recommend backing the cake yourself a day prior to starting the party event.
Why bake a Birthday Cake?
Your Sims will grow in age as the game goes on and they can do this without your intervention. But letting your Sims grow old on their own will make them feel sad as they think no one remembers their birthday. This can be avoided by baking them a birthday cake on their birthday or any day you want to age them up. Place the cake on any tabletop and add candles to it. Now get the birthday Sim to blow out the candles and watch them grow up.
