Hades 2: How To Get And Use Ash

how to get and use ash in hades 2

Most players don’t realize this but Ash in Hades 2 is an important resource like Silver and Bronze Nodes. While the latter is used for brewing Incantations at Concoct, Ashes work as a currency for obtaining Arcana Cards. Since the game follows a typical fashion for gathering materials, you are going to need to follow the same. For Ashes, we have made this guide that can help you find and use it for your growth.

How to Get Ash in Hades 2

    obtaining Ash in Hades 2
Go through this Door to get Ashes in Hades 2

The most usual method for obtaining Ash is through room rewards in different biomes, starting from Erebus. During your run, you will come across spots where you have to choose a specific room to enter. The reward you will be getting for clearing that room will appear on the door itself. So if you are specifically farming Ash in Hades 2, it is suggested that you enter a room that rewards you with it. Ash is represented by a sand icon in the game (refer to the above image).

Other lesser-known methods of obtaining Ash include purchasing it from the Wretched Broker. This merchant is unlocked after you make the “Summoning of the Mercantile Fortune” Incantation at the Concoct. It requires x10 Bones to craft the Incantation so make sure you have plenty. Once the Wretched Broker starts showing up at Crossroads, you can buy x1 Ash for x15 Bones in Hades 2.

How to Use Ash in Hades 2

To use Ash, you need to visit the Altar of Ashes in Crossroads. This location is unlocked after your first death in the game. Once you die, you can go to the Altar of Ashes and spend the specified amount of Ashes to purchase an Arcana Card from there. Each card provides a buff that can be equipped or unequipped at will.

Below, you will find all the Arcana Cards and the required amount of Ashes to purchase them:
