To get Ability Capsule in Scarlet and Violet, you have to buy it at Chansey Supply Shops for 100,000 Poke Dollars. Go to any of the major towns like Mesagoza, Cascarrafa, Levincia, and Montenevera, and you will find them. However, they are progression locked. Meaning, you must complete all the storylines and post-credits to unlock the Capsules. Another way to obtain these capsules is by taking part in Tera Raids. But these items drop in 5-Star Raids or higher.
You can use it from the bag on any Pokemon which has two abilities. For example, if you have a Pikachu, this item won’t work on it since its only ability is Static. However, Kilowattrel has two abilities.
- Ability 1: Wind Power (Boosts the power of the next Electric-type move if hit by a Wind move)
- Ability 2: Volt Absorb (Will restore HP if hit by an Electric-type move)
You can switch between these Abilities with the capsule. We recommend you think it through since the price of one unit is pretty expensive. You can also use Ability Patches, which can switch between your Pokemon’s Ability and Hidden Ability.
