While Football Manager (FM) 2022 offers an exciting, realistic sports management experience, issues like the real name problem can be a bit of a let down. This is because FM lacks some of the licensing prowess that EA and Konami boast of. This leads to team and league names often being altered. For many, this can slightly dampen the gameplay experience. If you are one of these players, and you are looking for a solution to help you better enjoy the game, you need not look any more. In this guide, we will show you how to fix the real name issue in FM 22.
How to Fix Real Name in Football Manager (FM) 2022?
In order to fix the real name issue in Football Manager (FM) 2022, you will first need to make sure you close the game. Once you do so, you will need to head over to FM Scout and download the Real Name & Licenses Fix folder.
Once you download the said folder, you will need to head over to the Football Manager files in your PC. You will need to open the Data folder, then Database, then db, and then 2201.
Inside this folder, you need to go to the dbc folder and then head to Permanent.
Next, delete folders that have inauthentic names. For example, Juventus FC is called Zebre in FM 2022. You will have to keep repeating this process for several clubs and national teams.
Once you do so, you need to head over to the /2201/ folder. From here, head over to Inc, then All. You need to delete all of the files in this folder. Next, extract the FM Scout folder you downloaded from the steps earlier in this guide. Copy the FM22 Club Names & FM22 Fix folders and paste them into the All folder.
And that’s it. With these simple steps, you will be able to easily add real names to FM 2022. As you can see, this solution is quite quick, and you will be able to enjoy an even more authentic gameplay experience.
