With new releases, players are often troubled by bugs and glitches and they would have thought that the Manor Lords Sawpit not working is something of the same nature. While it is a troublesome issue no doubt, it is neither a bug nor a glitch but an in-game mechanic. If not used properly, you won’t see the Sawpit getting the job done for you.
If the Sawpit is not getting you any Timber and you are missing out on Planks, this guide will help you fix the not working issue. While it is a simple tweak in gameplay, you will need a few empty items in hand along with families that can be assigned to the job. Along with that, you will also need the logging camp, well, hitching post, and storage.
How to Fix Manor Lords Sawpit Not Working Issue
The Sawpit is not bugged but the main issue here is that the storage has capacity for 1 Timber and the Ox can only carry 1 Timber. However, to process one Timber into Planks, it does not take long and the family member assigned to the Sawpit goes home. One of the members is responsible for getting the water, another one brings the Ox to the Sawpit, and the one who makes the logs returns home under the waiting status. This is the reason why players complain about the Manor Lords Sawpit not working issue.
The only possible workaround to this issue is to make sure that the family member who leaves for the house every time is placed close to the Sawpit. If the house is closer to the Sawpit, players will cut out the travel time on the loop. While this does not exactly fix the issue, at least you can get it working.
Ideally, you would want the family member to stay at the Sawpit for a certain time whether there is some work or not. However, it is likely that this mechanic can only be changed via an update or a patch.
Hopefully, that fixes the Manor Lords Sawpit not working issue for you. If you are new to Manor Lords, do check out our other guides in our dedicated section here at Gamer Tweak.
