How to unlock Luigi’s Vacuum Gadget?
When you start the game after the cutscene go to the front desk and check-in. The first character introduced to you is owner of Last Resort who will guide you to your rooms. Go to bed directly where Luigi will sleep. After waking up he will find himself in a upside down word, you can scan all the rooms to look for your friends and some coins. But at the end you have to walk all the way to the lift where a cutscene will reveal what is really going own. There are three coins in the rooms in the drawer on the left of bed. Collect them and there is a while chest of coins, in the room where you will find the vacuum. You have to go left, the dog will point you to go right. There is a locked door go left and look for chest, collect 34 Gold Coins. There are some cash on the right side shelf on the wall, as you come out after opening the chest look on your left and use the vacuum to suck in cash.
