Find the Missing Letters is one of the side quests in BG3 that players will come across in the small town of Rivington during Act 3. It will require you to find some missing courier pigeons as well as the letter they were carrying. And upon further investigation, you will come across the creature responsible for the crime, a Tressym. The winged cat will be hiding the missing letters as well as the Ring of Blink, a rare amulet that will grant you level 3 Transmutation Spell Blink.
Even though Rivington is comparably a small area in Baldur’s Gate 3, it can still be difficult to find the creature. However, you will come across the creature guarding the letter on the rooftop of one of the buildings. So if you are wondering where exactly to locate it and how to get back the Missing Letters then here is a guide you should check out further.
Where to Find Tressym in BG3
Players can find the Tressym in BG3 on the rooftop of the Open Hand Temple in Rivington at the coordinates X:-22 Y:-3. You will come across the temple west of the Sword Coast Couriers Post House near the circus in the game. It is closer to the Rivington Waypoint and just where you are about the enter Baldur’s Gate. With that being said, you can head inside and to the northeast side of the temple where you will find some knotted roots to climb up to the rooftop at the coordinates X: -50, Y: 12.
After climbing up the rooftop, you will come across the creature along with missing courier letters bundled in its nest. Players will then have to approach it and interact with the winged cat in the game. You will come to find out that the Tressym is Gale’s pet Tara whom he was talking about earlier. And if you have him in your party you can simply tell him to stop it from killing the pigeons and retrieve the letters. After this, the creature will simply agree and you can collect the bundled letters along with the ring.
If you don’t have Gale in your party, you can simply interact with the winged cat in Baldur’s Gate 3 and pass some checks to retrieve the letters. You will have the option to pass an Intimidation, Persuasion, or Deception check. Once done, the winged cat will simply fly away and you can collect the letters.
