How to Tame Diplodocus in Ark

There is no particular spawn location for Diplodocus in Ark. You can find them everywhere on the map except in mountainous regions and the snow biome. They are really useful if you want to travel with your travel as they can carry up to 10 members of the tribe.

Here are all the materials you will need to carry when you go to tame a Diplodocus in Ark:

  • Diplodocus Saddle
    • x600 Fiber
    • x850 Hide
    • x200 Metal Ingots
    • x250 Wood
  • Long Neck Rifle and Shotgun
  • Consumables Regular Kibble
    • Medium Egg
    • Cooked Meat Jerky
    • x2 Longrass
    • Savoroot
    • x5 Fiber
    • Water

Once you locate one of these, it is not really difficult to tame them. All you have to do is stand under them and interact to feed them the Regular Kibble and that’s it. In the event that they are chasing you, headshots with tranqs are more effective. Although they can’t really damage you so there is not much trouble.

Once you catch them, saddle them and you can carry ten members of your tribe to explore the map. They are quite useful when it comes to farming wood, thatch, and berries. Most small and medium creatures avoid attacking a Diplodocus even if you use push attacks which do no damage.
