Hidden Zelda TOTK Shrine On South Lanayru Sky Archipelago (Location)

Shreyansh ShahBy Shreyansh ShahMay 16, 2023Updated:May 16, 20233 Mins Read

While most shrines in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are visible, there is a hidden shrine in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago that is piquing the interest of players. Although the Archipelago will seem boring on its own, once players manage to locate and discover the shrine, things will get very interesting. The Hidden Shrine is part of the High Spring and the Light Rings Shrine Quest so you will have to speak with Nazbi outside the Spring of Wisdom to be able to find it. So once you are done with this pre-requisite, you can continue reading below in this Zelda TotK guide and unlock and explore the hidden Shrine.

Do note that there might be a few light spoilers in this guide so go ahead if you are okay with that.

Unlock the Shrine on South Lanayru Sky Archipelago in Zelda Tears Of the Kingdom

Zelda TOTK South Lanayru Sky Archipelago Shrine Location

The Hidden Shrine on South Lanayru Sky Archipelago is also known as the Zakusu Shrine and in order to unlock it, players will have to slide a shield down a mountain in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. While it won’t be that easy to complete without losing a few hearts and stamina, it’s not impossible either. To start the High Spring and the Light Rings Shrine Quest you will have to land on the southern most island in the Archipelago after jumping from the Lanayru Skyview Tower. You can easily identify this island as it has a ring of water towards one end.

How to Complete High Spring and the Light Rings Quest In Zelda TOTK

Since you need to complete the High Spring and the Light Rings quest to find the hidden shrine on South Lanayru Sky Archipelago in Zelda Tears Of the Kingdom, here’s what you need to do:

    • Once you head to Shrine Glyph and then activate it, you will notice a green ring of light. In order to unlock the Zakusu Shrine, you need to Shield Surf through the rings of light to complete the quest.
    • Close to the Shrine glyph, players can find two Zonaite Shields and a Sled Shield. We prefer the Sled Shield in order to get through the entire surfing easily.
    • Once you have the Shield, press ZL, then jump and quickly press A to surf the shield in Zelda TOTK.
    • Link will have to surf down the first slope. Make sure you press B or dive when you are close or Link will fall down on the shield.
    • While the next part will require you to glide a little, balancing the timing is the key. If you glide too early, you will lose momentum and if you glide too late, then it’s likely that Link will be dead.
    • In order to unlock the hidden Zakusu Shrine on South Lanayru Sky Archipelago in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, players have to go through all the green rings of light. The Shrine will then rise from the ground and the High Spring and the Light Rings quest will be complete.

Do note that if players miss any of the green rings, they will have to restart the quest entirely.

That’s all we have on how to find the Hidden Zakusu Shrine in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. While you are here, check out how to get Frostbite Armor, Zelda’s Golden Horse, and other Tears of the Kingdom guides right here at Gamer Tweak.
