Players can catch the Catfish in Stardew Valley in Pelican Town’s River, the Riverlands Farm, or the Hill-top Farm in Spring and Fall. They can also find the fish in Summer, but only in the Secret Woods and Witch’s Swamp. However, along with the season, players will only be able to get the Catfish during Rainy days. Additionally, players won’t be able to catch it without the correct bait and an Iridium Fishing Rod.
While Catfish is an above-average difficulty-rating fish, if you level up your fishing skills, catching it will be easier. There are a few recipes that can use Catfish and they can be quite helpful. However, one of the most important uses is to make a Quality Fertilizer. Players will then be able to grow better crops since the soil quality will be improved. However, players will need to level up their Farming Skills as well.
