How to get the Mariner Cotton Cloth in Final Fantasy XIV
To get the Mariner Cotton Cloth in Final Fantasy XIV you will have to find the Boarskin Leather Maps spread across Eorza. These maps can be found in the following places:
Mining Nodes
- Bluefog – Northern Thanalan
- Riversmeet – Coerthas Western Highlands
- Quarterstone – Western La Noscea
- The Bramble Patch – East Shroud
- The Gods’ Grip – Lower La Noscea
- The Silver Bazaar – Western Thanalan
Botany Nodes
- Riversmeet – Corethas Western Highlands
- The Bramble Patch – East Shroud
- The Clutch – Central Thanalan
- Sagolii Desert – Southern Thanalan
You will have to complete this treasure hunt to get the Mariner Cotton Cloth. This task is given to you by the Iterant Moogle as part of the Moogle Treasure Trove event. Before going on this quest however you will need to have unlocked the Dig and Decipher actions. To do this you will have to complete the Level 36 side-quest Treasures and Tribulations which are located in Raincatchers Gully nearby Wineport in Eastern La Noscea. You also need to have reached Level 46 gathering class in order to be able to access the Boarskin Leather Maps.
You can even get the Mariner Cotton Cloth in Final Fantasy XIV by buying it from other players via the market board. However, once the Moogle Treasure Trove shuts down the prices will shoot up once the new Patch 5.5 update rolls in. So it might be a good idea to stock up on this fan-favorite item.
You can use the Mariner Cotton Cloth to craft the Moonfire sets as well as the Sailor set. The Moonfire sets require 8 units of the Mariner Cotton Cloth whereas the Sailor set requires just 5 units.
