While exploring the Castle in Hogwarts Legacy, you will come across many portraits on the wall that are empty and can be filled. They will have a Cavity on the bottom of their frame with the shape of a Moth. As a Wizard or a Witch, you might know there is more to do here than meets the eye. So keep reading to find out how you can find the Lumos Moths in Hogwarts Legacy to fill the empty paintings.
How to Fill Empty Paintings in Hogwarts Legacy
You need to find Moths using Lumos and lead them to the empty paintings to fill them in Hogwarts Legacy. To get started with this you first need to take the side quest “Like a Moth to a Frame”. You can unlock this quest after attending your first Defense Against the Dark Arts & Charms classes. So if you have this quest unlocked here is what you need to do:
- Go to The Library Annex
- Find and talk Lenora Everleigh. She will be standing in front of a portrait.
- After she leaves, Cast Lumos at the Painting on the wall.
- This will reveal a location near you.
- Go to that location, and you should find a Moth nearby.
- Cast Lumos again and the moth will follow you around.
- Finally, lead the moth back to the frame and it will fit itself in the cavity with its shape on the frame.
- Go back and tell Lenora that you solved the Puzzle to complete the side quest.
Now that you know how to fill empty paintings, you should go around the castle and lead more such moths back to their frames. Don’t worry it isn’t a waste of time, you get Field Pages for it. And finding these pages are a good way to Farm XP and level up fast in this game.
You can use the spell Revilio to find empty paintings or other interactable objects. This will help you speed up the process of finding and solving them faster.
