The ongoing Chinese New Year Festival in Genshin Impact has a bunch of quests that players will have to complete before the festival ends. Not all but there are some quests available in the Lantern Rite event, that requires players to have enough Festive Fever level to begin in Genshin Impact.
Among the quest that needs players to have sufficient Festive Fever level in Genshin Impact is a quest named Stand By Me. This quest might ask you to increase Festive Fever level but it also gives you a free 4-star character.

Genshin Impact: How To Increase Festive Fever
When you open the event panel, you will see a quest called ‘Stand By Me’, which requires players to reach a Festive Fever Level of ‘Glow a Thousand Lanterns’ and shell out 1,000 Peace Talismans. Once you have fulfilled the criteria, you will get a free 4-star character.
Unlike Peace Talismans, increasing Festive Fever level in Genshin Impact is not a bed of roses. In order to check your Festive Fever level, open the event panel and look at the top left corner of the screen. There, you will see a gauge showing your current level.
To increase the number of Festive Ferver level or gauge, you will have to complete all small missions feature in Lantern Rite Tales. Completing each Lantern Rite Tales mission will reward you with a bunch of Festive Fever.
