Tera Shards in SV

There are several ways you can get your hands on these Shards. The best way to farm Tera Shards in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to participate in Tera Raids Battles. You will get these shards as rewards for completing 3-Star or higher raids. Note that the Pokemon in these raids are strong so make sure you head in with a team. After defeating them, you can catch them as well. These raids are based on a Star System and get tougher as they go higher. To unlock 5 and 6-Star Raids, you have to finish all the main storylines. So if you want to get Tera Shards fast, hit all the 3 and 4-Star Tera Raids across Paldea.

The type of shards you get depends on the type of Tera Den. Meaning, if you beat a Grass Tera Type, then you will get Grass Tera Shards in return. Other places you can farm these Tera Shards are from NPCs. By completing tasks for Hassel or Tyme, you will get Dragon and Rock shards respectively. You can also get them by picking up items across the map. Just look for glowing red Pokeballs on the ground and you might get lucky. At the end of the game, you can also participate in the Academy Ace Tournament to win these shards.
