How To Evolve Sliggoo In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Published Date :

Sliggoo is a Dragon type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 6 and is back again in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It has a cute appearance and also has a pretty decent base Special Attack and Special Defense stats at 83 and 113 respectively. The best thing is that it also has an evolution called Goodra which many trainers don’t know about or struggle to complete. So, without further ado, here is how to evolve Sliggoo in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

How to Evolve Sliggoo into Goodra in Pokemon SV

First things first, you will need to have Sliggoo in your Pokedex. You can find Sliggoo’s base form which is called Goomy at several locations. An alternative way is to find Sliggoo itself but keep in mind that it’s only available at one location in the map that is Casseroya Lake (Northwestern part of Paldea).

With that taken care of, all you need to do is evolve Sliggoo. Well, to be completely honest, this particular evolution is one of the strangest ones in the game for sure. First, you’ll need to level up your Sliggoo to Level 50. And now, the most important part, the evolution can only take place when it’s raining. Yes, Sliggoo will evolve into Goodra only when it’s raining. Trainers have no role whatsoever in influencing the weather in Pokemon SV. Hence, you will simply have to wait it out till the rain gods show up. Luckily, the weather keeps changing frequently in-game, so you won’t need to wait for eternity!

All you need to do is ensure that your Sliggoo is trained till at least Level 50. Keep EXP Candies or any Rare Candies at your disposal so you can use it on Sliggoo when it rains. The next time it levels up, it will turn into Goodra. A dragon with a mesmerising base Special Defense of 150, a 110 Special Attack and other decent stats!

That is all you need to know on how to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. If you liked this, head over to our Pokemon SV page for more.
