Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: How To Evolve Primeape

Published Date :

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet has wowed fans by bringing back Pokemon from the older generations and also introducing some brand-new ones along the way. One such iconic Pokemon and everyone’s favorite is none other than Primeape. The exciting thing is that it has a new evolution called Annihilape which many players don’t know how to get. Here’s everything you need to know about how to evolve Primeape in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Evolving Primeape into Annihilape in  Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Firstly, and it goes without saying, you’ll need to have Primeape in your Pokedex. It is an evolution of Mankey who completes its transformation at Level 28. Once that is taken care of, the hard part begins. However, if you follow these steps you won’t have to worry much.

For you to be able to evolve Primeape, you will have to use a specific move called ‘Rage Fist’. This move can be taught to Primeape once it reaches Level 35. You will have to use this move for a specific number of times during battles. To be precise, at least 20 times. The good news is that you don’t need to use these consecutively. Just use it anywhere and anytime until you complete the target.

Primeape into Annihilape in Pokemon SVOnce you use the ‘Rage Fist’ 20 times, the hardest part of the grind is now finished. You only have to level up your Primeape for the transformation to take place. Your Primeape will simply evolve into the brand-new Ghost monkey – Annihilape – the next time you level up!

The powerful Annihilape becomes a Fighting/Ghost type in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It evolved from Primeape after its uncontrollable rage couldn’t be contained by its miniscure physical form. As a result, Annihilape’s raging soul has no constraints now because there’s no physical body to hold it back. Thus, making Annihilape all the more frightening and incredibly tough.

That should clear all your doubts on how to evolve Primeape in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. If you found this useful, check out our other evolution tips on our Pokemon SV guides’ page.
