The Systems Interrogation Device or SID is probably one of the most important tools that you will use in the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Created by Alexander Tremayne to help the Na’vi against the RDA, SID has many important uses, like opening locked RDA crates, opening doors and rerouting power, and hacking turrets to temporarily disable them in battle.
There are moments in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora where players will have to stealthily infiltrate facilities and SID is going to be quite necessary to do so. Since it can store multiple hacks, players will find it quite easy to unleash them all in times of need.
How to Equip Systems Interrogation Device in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
Players will first find SID at the Resistance Headquarters once they get to meet Alexander Tremayne, a scientist. Since this is part of the main quest, ‘Welcome to the Resistance’, players won’t really have to do anything special to get there. Once you help heal So’lek, you will soon be on the path to interacting with the scientist following which, players will have access to the Systems Interrogation Device in the game.
While most would believe that you need to open the Weapon wheel to equip the Systems Interrogation Device, the answer is actually below it. Luckily, it does not fork up a place on the weapon wheel in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and players can equip SID by pressing L1 + Triangle on PlayStation or LB + Y on Xbox. The PC key bind without changes should be 5. Once it pulls up, you can use the interface to hack into systems to stealthily move further in facilities.
How to Use SID in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
Although it sounds easy so far, SID can be a little tedious at times when it comes to hacking. If it’s something like a turret that players are hacking, simply equip SID and aim at the thing you want to hack and that should be it. However, sometimes, there are timed puzzles that players need to solve which may or may not have hurdles.
For instance, the first time players use SID, they will be tasked with following electrical nodes in the ground. While Green nodes mean the electricity is flowing, players will find a fault at the power source which results in orange nodes. Players will then have to initiate the scanning feature on the faulty power source. After that, players will have to hold R2 or RT while aiming at the circle where the faulty node lies. This will allow them to find the correct frequency to repair it.
Keep following the nodes till the end and you will be done with the task. Other hacking options will be similar to this one and players will simply have to find the correct option.
If that’s not all, the hacking mini-game with SID is another tedious task that players will encounter while using the device in Frontiers of Pandora. Players will track electronic signals by following highlighted cables in the ground to ultimately find the terminal box that can be hacked into. Once again use SID on the terminal and then the mini-game begins.
The mini-game will have a blue square with a simple line diagram and players need to navigate through it to reach the green dot at the end. Each game will have different levels of security and won’t be as easy every single time.
It’s also worth noting that if players are finding the puzzles a little tedious and want to simply have fun while playing the game, they can automate the hacking. Head over to Settings and you can set the hacking to auto-complete. This will allow you to use the Systems Interrogation Device in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora without having to go through the difficult puzzles.
That’s all we have for you from this guide. Hopefully, you find it easy to equip and use SID while playing Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. You may want to check out more Frontiers of Pandora guides on our dedicated section here at Gamer Tweak to assist you through the game.
