While passing through the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3, you will eventually stumble upon a skeleton with an unsent letter. That letter talks about an old man and her wife, Ellie May, who was buried with her Family Ring. Let me tell you that there is nothing ordinary about that Ring. It actually provides you with +2 Death Saving Throws, which is quite useful during an emergency.
Finding Ellie May’s Grave and the Family Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an optional quest. However, I suggest you complete it as leaving that Ring out in the dark won’t benefit anyone. And to help you with that, I will tell you where you can find it.
Before we get down to business, I hope you are immune to the curse of the Shadow Lands. If not, then fix the Broken Moon Lantern to gain immunity against the curse.
Here’s How to Find Ellie May’s Grave and Family Ring in BG3
Aside from Ellie May and her Ring, the unsent letter also talks about the old man camping near the grave. That means you will have to find the camp to get to the grave. Now this camp is located in the Ruined Battlefield, Shadow Lands and its coordinates are (x:97 ; y:128).
Once you are at the camp, you will find the grave of Ellie May right next to it. However, you’ll soon find out that the Ring is not there in the grave. By doing a perception check right next to the tombstone, you will find Animal (or Beast) Tracks there. Well, that means that an animal has dug into the grave and has snatched the ring off Ellie May’s corpse.
Don’t worry, that Family Ring of Ellie May is not far from her Grave in Baldur’s Gate 3. All you have to do is slowly jump your way down to the cliff by following the tracks. Down there, you will find a burrow in the wall wherein, Ellie May’s Ring is found.
Now that you have found Ellie May’s Ring, you can equip it and have the benefit of that +2 Death Saving Throw in BG3.
