As if out of a post-apocalyptic video game, the Covid-19 virus has been spread throughout the world and it is causing concern in every aspect of life. Almost every industry has been hit and now we have confirmation that E3 2020 will be canceled.
The biggest gaming expo in the world is reportedly taking measures to spot the further spread of the virus and keeping public health and safety in mind has canceled the yearly event.
Other big outdoor events like Coachella and sports league have spoken about the containment of the virus and are canceling any events that might endanger the lives of human beings.
The spread of the virus has been incredible and though it originated in China, it has soon spread to the entire world, with newer cases being registered every single day.
PlayStation, like last year, had already announced that they won’t be attending E3 2020, and now no other developer or manufacturer will make it to the event.
Many game developers have already spoken out about the health risks and are canceling events that would have taken place.
Cancel your E3 flights and hotels, y’all.

E3’s cancellation brings up another question about the replacement of the show, this year’s E3 was expected to be huge as it preceded the launch of the two upcoming gaming consoles from Microsoft and Sony.
It looks like all the developers will have to announce their upcoming releases by themselves or on another event.
