Dying Light Coop: How To Play On Steam & Epic Games Store

Updated Date :

Want to play the Dying Light Coop on Steam & Epic Games Store? Don’t worry, as we have got you all covered. With the Enhanced Edition free on Epic, many players have joined the DL club on PC. But can you invite, join, or add your friends for a Co-op multiplayer on different PC versions? Yes, you can. And compared to DL2’s Co-op mode, it is a relatively simpler process. So, check out our step-by-step guide on how to play Coop multiplayer with your friends across different PC platforms.

How to Play Dying Light Coop on Steam & Epic Games Store

You can play the Dying Light Coop with your friends across different platforms including Steam and Epic Games. You can also play with your friends if they are playing Mac OS, Linux, GoG, and Windows PC. But before you connect with your friends online, ensure that you have unlocked the multiplayer Coop mode in DL. To unlock the Coop, you must complete the prologue with a mission titled First Assignment.

Once you unlock the multiplayer mode, here’s how you can play DL Coop multiplayer across Steam and Epic Games:

  • Firstly, pause the game session and press the C key button. This will prompt the section for Session Options.
  • Set the game visibility to Friends Only and turn on the Human Co-ops option.
  • Then, click on your friend’s name under the Friends section in the Pause menu.
  • You can either join or invite your friend to the game.
  • Once your friend accepts your invitation, you can play with our friend in the Co-op multiplayer mode.

If you cannot connect with your friend, the overpopulated & busy DL servers might be a reason. Ever since Dying Light has been free on Epic Game Store, the game has seen a sudden surge in traffic. So, we recommend playing the Coop during Non-peak hours & being patient.

However, if you are unable to play the multiplayer Coop mode at all, we recommend heading to the Dying Light Support page. Over there, you can submit a ticket describing the issue. The Support team will revert you with a suitable workaround to fix this issue. Until then, check out our Dying Light Docket Codes for free rewards.
