How to Drift in NFS Unbound

Whether you’re a newbie that is learning the tricks of the trade or a perfectionist at drifting, you have to keep in mind that the mechanisms have slightly changed in the latest game. There are a total of three drifting techniques in NFS Unbound like the ‘Brake & Throttle’, ‘Gas Only’ and ‘Brake Only’. The best part is that the game gives you the freedom to choose whichever option you prefer the most. We’ll explain a little more in detail:

Brake & Throttle

In this method, all you have to do is slam the brakes and press the accelerator simultaneously when approaching a corner. This will help you control your car better and make a crisp turn. However, if you use this drifting technique in NFS Unbound, you will have to greatly sacrifice your speed.

Gas Only

Going by the name, all you need to do is hit the accelerator while steering your car. If you have the confidence to do this, it’s definitely one of the fastest drifting techniques. However, it’s quite risky as you need to know the perfect timing and excellent steering controls to execute this drift.

Brake Only

Many NFS players will be familiar with this drifting technique. Simply put, it involves using the handbrake which makes your car lose traction and automatically starts the drift. Although it’s not the fastest, it can still deliver a sharp turn while maintaining your car’s speed.

To become a master at drifting, you need to practice as much as you can. Learning how to drift is very important in NFS Unbound as it can also help charge up your Nitrous meter. The longer the drift, the faster your Nitrous meter will fill up. Drifting not only helps you save time during difficult corners but in the process also helps you boost your way towards victory!
