This medieval game isn’t just a city builder but also has real-time strategy elements involved. So it is important you know all the Difficulty Settings in Manor Lords and what each Game Setup option does. This will dictate how you experience and enjoy the game. Setting a difficulty too high can ruin it for new players while on the other end veteran players of other games in similar genres may feel it is too easy when not selecting the right option.
All Difficulty Options in Manor Lords – Starting Scenario
You are presented with 3 templates at the beginning which are as follows:
- Rise to Prosperity: The goal in this mode is to grow your settlement to a Large Town. This scenario is ideal for beginners as you have to only focus on your village, its people, and how you can grow it.
- Restoring the Peace: This scenario is best suited for players who are used to such games. Here your goal is to conquer every region. Things aren’t too overwhelming as you get your preparation time. Once you are ready you can challenge the Baron and claim the territories!
- On the Edge: Finally, this scenario is for experts or players who know exactly what to expect from such games. It combines both of the above goals so you not only have to conquer every region but also reach Large Town.
After you are done picking a Scenario, you now have to choose a difficulty. Don’t worry it might seem confusing but you can think of further customizing the difficulty of the above modes. Here you get to choose between:
- Relaxing: Easy
- Default: Normal
- Challenging: Hard
In case you want to change things even more and get rid of certain problems but want extra challenges in some areas, then that is where Game Setup Settings come in.
