Diablo 2 Resurrected might be fun to play but if you really want to enjoy the game you need to turn up the difficulty. When you increase the difficulty you will have much more trouble when slaying enemies. Because unlike the earlier difficulties now enemies are stronger, items are 50% effective of what they used to be, and you face other challenges. But for this article let’s talk about the thing that makes the enemy immune and resist your attacks. So without further ado, let’s check out what Diablo 2 Resurrected resistances are and how they work.
Diablo 2 Resurrected Resistances – What are they in D2R?
Resistances as the name suggests make the enemy resist a particular type of your attack. Different enemies are resistant to different types of attacks, so the same strategy won’t work for all. Depending on the difficulty of your game the resistance of your opponents will change. If you are playing on Nightmare, the difficulty increases by the game spawning more level 50 and above monsters. But if you are on Hell mode every monster will have a different type of resistance and they are 100% immune to at least one element.
How do the Resistances work?
- Cold Enchanted: +75% cold resistance
- Fire Enchanted: +75% fire resistance
- Lightning Enchanted: +75% lightning resistance
- Magic Resistant: +40% to fire, cold, and lightning resistance
- Spectral Hit: +20% to fire, cold, and lightning resistance
- Stone Skin: +50% physical resistance
How do the difficulties work?
There are three difficulties in this game. Normal, Nightmare, and Hell. You can unlock the new difficulty by beating the game on the previous game mode. So if you want to unlock Nightmare mode, you will have to defeat Baal from Act 5 in Normal mode. A neat feature is that once you unlock the new difficulty you can carry all the items and your current character to the new mode.
