Our Devil Hunter Clans Tier List

Here’s our tier list that gives an overall ranking to Devil Hunter Clans from best to worst.
S Tier – Best Overall Clans
These clans are S tier because they offer strong passive bonuses and remain useful throughout the game.
Hayakawa
Provides a large Soul bonus and extra Posture, along with reduced Contract requirements. This allows players to access powerful Contracts earlier than usual, making progression faster. You will feel its value immediately and it will continue into late game.
- Buffs Soul by 30
- Buffs Posture by 10
Kishimoto
Provides high Soul and Posture while reducing the negative effects tied to Contracts. This makes it ideal for long sessions where debuff resistance becomes extremely important.
- Has stronger resolve and sanity scaling, and better resistance to contract debuffs.
- Buff: 10 Posture, 25 Soul
Fujimoto
One of the most balanced clans available. It boosts Health, Stamina, and Posture while reducing stamina drain from abilities. This makes it effective for both aggressive and defensive playstyles, with no major weaknesses.
- Has reduced stamina drain from skills.
- Buffs: 10 Health, 10 Posture, 10 Stamina
Kishibe
Offers increased Health, Stamina, and Posture while reducing debuff duration and Soul drain. It performs extremely well in long fights but lacks the universal Contract advantages of S-tier clans.
- Status effect durations are reduced by 20%
- Buffs: +10 Health, +15 Posture, and +20 Stamina.
A Tier – Strong but Build-Dependent
These clans are powerful but shine the most when paired with specific Contracts or playstyles.
Himeno
Does not provide direct stat boosts but significantly reduces Ghost Devil Contract costs and improves fear-based effects. It is excellent for Ghost-focused builds but less effective outside of that niche.
Yoshida
Reduces Octopus Devil Contract ability costs and improves utility tied to ink-based effects. Strong only if your build revolves around the Octopus Devil.
Sawatari
Reduces Snake Devil penalties and ability costs. This clan is very effective when running Snake Devil Contracts but offers little benefit otherwise.
B Tier – Usable but Niche
These clans provide helpful bonuses but fall short in some aspects compared to the higher-ranked ones.
Higashiyama
Boosts Stamina and mobility, making it suitable for agile builds. It performs well early on but lacks the factors needed for harder content.
C Tier – No Bonus – Devil Hunter Common Lineage
These clans provide little advantage and are generally not worth keeping once rerolls are available. They are functional for learning the game, but are best replaced.
