Once you have established your primary base in Palworld, assigning your captured pals to certain work according to their suitability would be the first thing you might want to do. However, oddly enough, sometimes you will find them not working on anything automatically as they should be and some might not work at all. In cases like these, you would want to sometimes physically tell them what to do after deploying them in your base.
With that being said, there are quite a few things that you will need to consider here including the fact that they will have their lunch break on time, and interrupting it might not be the ideal thing to do. However, if you come across your pals slacking around and ruining the productivity of your base, not looking at you Depresso, you will be able to order them to do the task you want without any hassle.
How to Deploy Pals to Work at Base in Palworld
To command pals to work in Palworld, you will need to first deploy them on your base using the Palbox. Here are the steps you can follow to do so:
- Interact with the Palbox and head towards the Palbox Management Menu in the game.
- Inside, you will come across all the pals in your party, and down below you will find the option for Pals at the base.
- You will need to simply drag the pal you want to deploy in that section.
- Doing so will deploy your work pal onto your base and they might automatically assign themselves the work according to their suitability.
How to Tell Pals What to Do in Palworld
If you still see them slacking around, you can specifically tell them what to do by lifting them and dropping them in front of the task. As bizarre as it might sound, it’s the simplest way to specifically assign your pals to work. To lift them simply approach the pal roaming around and you will get the option to Lift (F on the keyboard).
After which, you will need to drag them out and place them near the task you want them to do. Once they find suitable work for them, they will have a light bulb on their head. For example, Eikthyrdeer is great at lumbering, considering that you will need to place it near some trees for it to chop some wood.
That said, there are a few things that you will need to consider here. While you will be able to deploy your pals using the Palbox and tell them what to do by specifically assigning them to work, this might not work each time.
The reason being, that either the pals are hungry and not well rested or they have developed certain status ailments. In this case, even after deploying your work pal in Palworld, you will come across the “No Work Available in the Immediate Vicinity”.
You can resolve this by taking care of your pals accordingly. Once they are well-fed and rested, they will have their sanity and work accordingly in the game. Status ailments too can be cured using the different medical supplies in Palworld.
