For this boss fight, you will need your heavy-hitting weapons. While Howling Aces is not the strongest boss, you might have some trouble facing him. This boss fight will complete in a few phases. With you controlling the plane you are on, you will have to move left and right to move the plane. Here’s how you can beat the Howling Aces in the Delicious Last Course.
Phase 1
The boss fight starts with the Bulldog. On the plane above you, you will be able to see the pilot of the other plane, the Bulldog. As he gets off the plane a few times in the middle of the fight, he will shoot balls at you with a cat. You will have to duck these balls and avoid them.
Additionally, his pups throw balls in sets of 3 from his left and right-wing. Be mindful of these while you are hitting back at him. Also, be aware of the crossbones that he throws when he jumps down. You will have to avoid these.
Phase 2
Once you beat the Bulldog, you will be surrounded by the pups with the Rocket Packs. They will circle around you anti-clockwise and throw letters at you which you need to dodge. Along with this, you will need the Chaser weapon to avoid having to aim at them. Chasers will do your job and help you finish this phase quite easily.
Phase 3
The third phase starts the battle with the boss Howling Aces in the Delicious Last Course. At the start, the captain of the Howling Ace controls the movement in the fight. While in the fight, your perspective will keep changing ninety degrees but the controls will be the same.
You will need to watch out for the lasers shooting from the side of the ship. The path of the laser will be traced so you can simply jump or move to the sides to avoid it. All your hard-hitting weapons need to be concentrated on the captain and the Howling Aces. Keep hitting till you see A Knockout.
