The PC version of Death Stranding has been delayed. The title has been made available on PlayStation 4 since November 2019, and it was on its way to the PC platform and but contrary to what was announced today, it will not be available on June 2, but on July 14, 2020.
There are many video game companies around the world that are currently closed and game developers are instead working from home. This is also the case in the gaming industry, for example at Kojima Productions, the team of Hideo Kojima. They are currently working on the release of the PC version of their action game Death Stranding.
It was originally announced that the PC version of Death Stranding would be available on June 2 in the Epic Games Store and on Steam, but the temporary closure of the development offices has caused the studio to lag behind its schedule. Kojima Productions announced on Twitter that the PC launch is scheduled for July 14th.
The revelation was made by Kojima Productions, in a message in which it explains that remote work means some unexpected complications. “Following the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we have had to delay the PC launch of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, to allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place. Thank you all for your patience and continued support,” the official account of the company tweeted.
