Sonic Frontiers: How To Unlock Cyberspace Levels

Updated Date :

SEGA has brought a plethora of new features in its latest Hedgehog series – Sonic Frontiers. While players remain in awe of the massive open-world and exciting boss fights, the game has received praise for several other features too. Cyberspace levels is one aspect which has garnered a lot of interest over time. However, there are many players who are confused about how to make use of this feature. Worry not, we’ll show you how to unlock Cyberspace levels in Sonic Frontiers.

Tips to Unlock Cyberspace Levels in Sonic Frontiers

Cyberspace levels allow you to access retro Sonic titles in the game. From the thrills of the open world in Sonic Frontiers, you’ll dive into a more traditional setting while playing Sonic classics. Cyberspace levels can be unlocked with the use of Portal gears. Enough said, here are some ways to unlock it:

Map Symbol of Guardians in Sonic FrontiersFind a Guardian on the map

On your quest to unlock Cyberspace levels, you’ll first have to find a Guardian to battle with. You can find them on the Sonic Frontiers map with an icon that indicates two red crossed swords. This is the easiest way to do it. Moreover, you can always go about discovering Guardians on your own. It’s definitely not hard to stumble across Guardians given that they are spread across the entire map. Simply walk up towards any Guardian. A short cutscene will emerge which will signal the start of the battle.

Defeat the Guardian and claim Portal Gears

Claim victory over the Guardian in any way you please. However, after the battle ends, claim the Portal Gears which will be dropped by the Guardian. Usually, Guardians drop a single Portal Gear. Scout the area to make sure you don’t miss it.

Location of Portals in Sonic FrontiersUse the Portal Gears

After claiming the Portal Gear, search the map for a huge stone-like structure. Next, head over to this specific location where you’ll be able to see an inactive portal. By simply trading the portal gears in Sonic Frontiers, you’ll gain access to a new Cyberspace level.

These simple steps should help you to unlock Cyberspace levels in Sonic Frontiers. If you’re a hardcore Sonic fan, you’ll be able to relive old memories from playing these Sonic classics. If you found this helpful, do check out our Sonic Frontiers guide right here.
