Cyberpunk 2077 developers CD Projekt RED are one of the many developers who have taken a stand against police brutality and joined the Black Lives Matter cause.
CD Projekt RED was supposed to host a Night City Wire event which was going to be held on June 11th, 2020 has been pushed back to June 25th. Major corporations and celebrities have voiced their concerns.
It was reported that CD Projekt RED was going to show brand new footage, ahead of the launch of the game on September 17th, 2020. The crimes and brutality shown in Cyberpunk somewhat resemble the injustice that has been served by the Unites States Police Force towards the black community and that is the reason why CD Projekt RED has delayed their event.
We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CPā77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.

The game has been more than 7 years in the making and it was announced during E3 2019 that it would finally be releasing in 2020, though the developers couldn’t deliver on the date revealed back then, they are more than comfortable with the new release date.
Cyberpunk 2020 is already looking out to be a work of art with each intricate detail filled in to give the players a taste of what might come in the future. It shows a bleak reality of men and machines coming together and the backdrop of Night City where the entire underworld festers down below.
Hopefully, the situation in the USA will have settled by June 25th, 2020, and justice will prevail. Make sure to check out GamerTweak for all the latest news about your favorite games.
