And after years of waiting, Ubisoft has finally announced that crossplay will now be possible. Hence players are wondering how to Enable or Disable Crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege. Nevertheless, players who are waiting for it for a long time can expand their outreach with new opponents. If you are here for the same, we recommend you check out this guide.

How to Enable & Disable Crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege

R6 Siege Turn On or Turn Off Crossplay

There are quite a lot of benefits to crossplay and the best one being reduced matchmaking time. Although Ubisoft is yet to confirm whether you can Crossplay between PC and console, you can do so for the Xbox and PlayStation families. Since Ubisoft never intended for a Crossplay between PC and Console, it might not happen even in the near future.

Once it is live, the Crossplay system will enable automatically for Rainbow Six Siege. However, if you intend to disable it, you can follow the steps following below. Be wary that matchmaking times will be higher for you. Here’s how to disable crossplay in R6:

  • From the main menu in Rainbow Six Siege, head over to Settings from the top right.
  • In the new window, select General and scroll down to Crossplay Matchmaking.
  • While you are here, change it to off and then change Crossplay Communication to off as well.

Along with the Crossplay feature, fans can also look forward to the cross-progression feature. You will be able to transfer your inventory across platforms provided they are linked to your Ubisoft account. However, your rank won’t be transferred across.

That’s all there is on how to Enable and Disable Crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege. While you are here, make sure you check out our Rainbow Six guides with Gamer Tweak.
