Does Ready Or Not Have Controller Support?

Updated Date :

Ever since its release, Ready or Not, the intense tactical shooter developed by VOID Interactive has garnered more than positive reviews amongst the community. The multiplayer shooter has attracted even console players, many of whom are wondering if using a keyboard and mouse is necessary or if there is controller support available. Considering that Ready or Not has a more complex gameplay, players who prefer a controller might take a long time to adapt to everything on the traditional setup.

Since the console release of the tactical shooter has yet to be announced by the devs, controller support in Ready or Not might be the best bet for now. However, there are quite a few things that players will need to consider here. So if you want to know whether or not the game has official support, then here is everything you need to know about it.

Is Ready Or Not Controller Compatible?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Ready or Not lacks the official controller support. The game won’t be able to recognize your controller for now. VOID Interactive has strictly designed the game based on keyboard and mouse input due to its intricate gameplay and features. This way players will be able to enjoy the game at its fullest.

However, during the alpha phase of Ready or Not, the devs did confirm in one of the FAQs that the studio was planning to incorporate it in the beta. While that hasn’t been the case yet, the devs might just release the support very soon. Since the game went through its first major update after its release and the devs are aware of the need for controller support, players can expect the support in the upcoming updates.

For players looking to play the game on the controller, you still have the option to use the Steam Controller Layouts. With it, you will be able to map most of the keys to your controller and play the game accordingly. Additionally, you can also use controls from community layouts. Here are the steps you can follow:

  • Launch Steam and head towards the library.
  • Select Ready or Not and click on Controller Layout.
  • Here, you will be able to browse through different community layouts.
  • Simply, choose one that best suits your playstyle or from the popular ones.

We would suggest that you keep track of all the upcoming updates on the official Twitter page.
