If you’re trying to tackle Chapter 1 of Dress to Impress Valentine’s Quest solo, there are a few things you need to know before you begin. The quest is simpler than the previous Halloween and Winter quests, but there are challenging aspects here as well. Find out how to complete the Potion Making, Arrow Target Practice, and the final Fortress Portal section in Chapter 1.
How to Complete Chapter 1 of DTI Valentine’s Quest
As soon as you enter the quest portal and watch the cutscene, you will spawn in a garden area—walk through the gate and you will see another cutscene featuring Leah Ashe. Then, it’s time to do the Potion Making part of the quest.
Potion Making
You have 3 minutes to make 3 potions and deposit them into the main cauldron next to Leah Ashe.
- To make them, approach one of the other cauldrons and you will see the two ingredients to use. Make sure to remember their names.
- Next, select the first ingredient from the options you’re shown and use the vertical slider to move up and down to get 3 versions to appear at the top.
- Then, do the same thing for the second ingredient but this time, the slider will be horizontal.
- Rotate the spoon to mix it and select the bottle to put the potion.
- With the bottle in hand, approach the cauldron next to Leah and deposit it.
- You need to do this three times and if you do it right, you will see the Good Job! notification.
Arrow Target Practice
For the next phase of the quest, you need to shoot an arrow at hearts with wings that are constantly moving left and right. There’s a timer here and you need to fill up the progress bar at the left of the screen.
Prioritize the Golden heart balloon to get more points (25) and whenever you shoot a Pink balloon, you get 10 points. The trick is to shoot before the heart reaches that point so plan ahead and aim there. Make sure the projectile angle is set correctly and you should be able to finish this task before the timer ends.
Opening the Fortress Portal by Shooting the Lock Target
There will be another cutscene after which you will be asked to shoot at a single balloon that’s flying in a circle around the map. Use your bow and arrow to aim at it, similar to the previous round, and you will be able to burst it.
