Warhammer 40K Darktide: What Is Coherency? (Explained)

Published Date :

Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is the latest addition to the franchise made by Fatshark. It has improvised graphics and visuals along with a variety of mission types that can keep you entertained for hours. While you are busy fending off the enemy forces in the city of Tertium, your team needs to stick together. With a perfect character class and unhindered communication, a team can easily knock down incoming hoards of enemy forces. Besides that, playing together as a team is always beneficial as it’s better to have 8 eyes on the battlefield rather than only 2. Coherency is one such advantage you get while playing as a team in Warhammer 40K Darktide. Wondering how this works? Check out this guide that features everything you should know about Coherency.

What is Coherency in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide?

What Is Coherency In Warhammer 40K Darktide

Consider Coherency as a confidence mechanism in the game. What I mean here is whenever you are close to your teammates, you receive some advantages. This includes a rapid regeneration of the Shield as compared to the normal regen rate. In addition, you also get an extra Shield for a small period, each time you kill an enemy. Further, in Warhammer 40K Darktide, Coherency increases when you and your teammates are close and begins to decrease as you all get afar.

How does Coherency work?

For those who don’t know, the blue-colored bar above your HP indicates the Shield health. Moreover, the Toughness stat determines the speed at which your Shield bar depletes. However, in Warhammer 40K Darktide, Coherency throws a big impact on Toughness.

Coherency strengthens the Toughness stat that reduces the speed at which you lose your Shield energy. Also, every character in this game has a specific Aura that affects the teammates somehow. For example, Veteran’s Aura grants the teammates extra ammo and a 5% chance of obtaining a grenade upon decimating an enemy. Coherency is no doubt a beneficial in-game element of Warhammer 40K Darktide.

Although, there is no fixed range within which Coherency works in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide. But, Ogryns surely do promise a higher range of Coherency allowing teammates to increase the line of sight with extra protection.

That’s all covered for the Coherency in Warhammer 40K Darktide. Meanwhile, you are here, make sure to check out our other Darktide guides on Gamer Tweak.
