Check out where to find Kyogre and how to catch it in Pokemon Emerald.
Kyogre is a Legendary water-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 3, and players are looking for ways to catch it in the Emerald version. In this game, you will explore the Hoenn region. According to this region’s lore, Kyogre is an ancient Pokemon, responsible for expanding the very oceans. So if you want to get Kyogre to complete your legendary trio team of Groudon and Rayquaza, follow the instructions in this guide.
Kyogre is an endgame Pokemon so to catch it, you must defeat the Elite Four, the Champion, and win the League Championship. To do so:
After becoming the Pokemon League Champion, use the Fly ability to head over to Fortree City. Restore the health of your Pokemon and restock on items like Revives and Potions. Make sure you carry up to 60 Ultra Balls before going to Kyogre’s location. Now, head over to Route 119 and go to the Weather Institute. Make your way to the first floor and talk to the Scientist to get Kyogre’s Location.
The location can vary depending on whether you caught Groudon before. If the scientist mentions a Heavy Downpour, then you will find Kyogre on Route 105, Route 125, Route 127, or Route 129. If he mentions a Drought, then you’ll have to face Groudon before returning to the scientist again.
Once you get the route number from the scientist, use the Fly ability to get to the nearest town to that route. Then, use the Swim ability on the nearest water body and look for a Dark Spot. Use the Dive ability on that spot and it will lead you to a Marine Cave where Kyogre is located. Save the game before facing it, make sure you have Pokemon above level 70, and you will catch it with a little elbow grease.
