  • Hatch time: ~6 hours 40 minutes
  • Cost: 50 million Sheckles or 139 Robux
  • Chance: 21% from the Paradise Egg (other rolls include Ostrich 40%, Peacock 30%, Scarlet Macaw 8%, Mimic Octopus 1%)

What does the Capybara do in Grow a Garden?

Capybara’s Passive is called Chill Zone. Once hatched and placed in your garden, the Capybara passively activates this ability, which affects all pets within a 15.48‑stud radius, granting them:

  • Zero hunger drain (they don’t get hungry while in range).
  • About 3.48 XP per second (this scales up as the Capybara ages).

This ability is always active; as soon as other pets enter the radius, they receive the effects immediately. Unlike other XP‑boosting pets like the Owl, Capybara even works on pets at 0 hunger and its effects stack if you have multiple Capybaras within overlapping ranges.

Why Use the Capybara?

  • It stands as an A-tier pet due to its XP synergy. With no hunger loss, your active pets remain fed and grow continuously, making leveling efficient. This can help you speed up the process of Pet mutation as well.
  • Stackable effect: Multiple Capybaras boost the radius effect or allow full garden coverage.
  • Useful in combos: Often paired with pets like Moth, Peacock, Wasp, Giant Ants for effective impact.

Some players have encountered issues with it, for example, pets not gaining expected XP even when in range of multiple capybaras or still experiencing hunger effects. As with all game mechanics, these may get fixed in future updates, so keep an eye on patch notes.

Overall, the Capybara is a powerful support pet in Grow a Garden designed to keep your pets fed, and leveling non‑stop, with increasing benefits as it ages so if you were looking for a pet with good synergy ability, this one is definitely worth considering.
