Even though we don’t have any official information about this year’s Call of Duty yet, it seems that Activision is already thinking about next year’s game, and the first information about it has started to appear on the internet.

A new Call of Duty 2024 rumor arrives via a source who goes by the name “CoD_Perseus” on Twitter. And the reason why people are relying on this source is because he was responsible for leaking the first screenshots of this year’s game, which according to rumors will be Modern Warfare 3.

According to reports, the events of Call of Duty 2024 will unfold during the Gulf War – a conflict that began on August 2, 1990, and ended on February 28, 1991. The Gulf War is officially considered a “1990–1991 armed campaign waged by a 39-country military coalition in response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait” – the leaders of this coalition were the United States. One part of this war was the famous Operation Desert Storm, during which the coalition carried out a series of massive aerial bombardments.

Apart from that, the Gulf War also allowed Treyarch to present other United States Presidents. Previously, they had introduced Nixon, Kennedy, and Reagan in their old games. So, it is also very likely that Treyarch will present President George HW Bush in this game.

This war is also notable for being the site of three of the largest tank battles in American military history. It is possible that some of the chapters of the game will be devoted to these events.

Activision has not yet confirmed or denied this information, so we invite you to take this news with a pinch of salt for the time being.
