Unfortunately, you cannot breed Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy since there is only one present in the game. Whereas to breed, you need a male and a female creature of the same species. Moreover, you’ll meet this bird in the later parts of the game. Since its feathers are magical resources, we will tell you how to get them.

How Breeding Works in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG, and one of the mechanics you can find in this game is breeding. There is a plethora of magical creatures in this game. Each of them drops resources that you can use to upgrade your gear, wand, and more. Once you complete the main quest called “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom”, you can rescue the creatures and send them to the Vivariums. Then, visit the Room of Requirement and tend to them to get their resources.

As you progress through Deek’s questline, you’ll reach a mission called the “Foal of the Dead”. Here, you’ll unlock the Breeding Pen Spellcraft and you can buy it at the Tom and Scrolls shop. Then, to breed creatures, you’ll have to get a male and a female of a specific species and put them in the Breeding Pen.

As we mentioned, there is only one Phoenix in the game so breeding it is impossible. That is unlucky for players since Phoenix Feathers are a rare commodity and are used to upgrade the wand. So players will have to look for other ways to get these feathers in the game.
