How To Do A Takedown In Battlefield 2042

Are you tired of shooting your enemies with guns and pistols in Battlefield 2042? Takedowns are the melee attack you have been looking for. As they are melee attacks, they don’t need any ammo but surely require a lot of patience. Also in certain situations with a large herd of enemies, Guns are not always the right option to go through. Takedowns are the stealth melee attack that can kill your enemies in a single blow irrespective of their armor and health. Isn’t that cool? Here’s our guide on how to do a Takedown in Battlefield 2042.

How to Perform a Takedown in Battlefield 2042?

You need to stand right behind your enemy to perform a Takedown in Battlefield 2042. Once you stand right behind your enemy you will be prompted with a Takedown option.

  • For Xbox Players: Hit the R3 button (right analog) as you stand behind your enemy.
  • For PC Players: Press the F key while you stand behind your enemy to perform the attack.
  • PS players: Hit the R3 (right analog) button.

How to Customize Takedowns in BF 2042?

You can customize your takedown style by following these steps:

  • Head to the Specialist customization menu.
  • Select the Takedown tab.
  • Then, select the Takedown you have unlocked.

As you perform a takedown successfully, the camera switches from FPP to TPP and showcases your successful takedown. Once you have performed the melee attack, be ready and cautious of the enemies that are about to jump on you. You can also perform this attack with an equipped knife or hatchet. Till now there are five takedown styles available in BF 2042 so far. These five are:

  • Rib Opener
  • Tactical Folder
  • Survival’s Edge
  • Baku ACB-90
  • Fatal Friend
